Man killed by brother during domestic dispute in Niger

A 35-year-old man has died following an alleged assault by his brother during a domestic dispute in Niger State, security sources have said.

The incident reportedly occurred at about 7:00 a.m. on Feb. 17 in Mohoro community, via Dusai District, where Sani Bauchi was said to have engaged in a misunderstanding with his younger brother, Isah Nathaniel.

During the altercation, Bauchi allegedly struck Nathaniel with a stick, leaving him critically injured.

The victim was rushed to General Hospital Bangi for treatment but was confirmed dead on arrival. His remains have been deposited at the hospital’s mortuary pending an autopsy.

Police authorities said the suspect has been arrested, while investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
