Man kills brother for shooting him in dream

A 43-year-old man has been apprehended by the police for allegedly killing his older brother, Mustapha Amidu, for “shooting him” in a dream.

The Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

Ayanlade said the incident was reported at the Ago-Amodu Divisional Police Headquarters by one Badmus Yunisa in the Sepeteri area of Oyo State.

“The suspect allegedly approached the deceased where he was seated, picked up a heavy rock, struck him on the head, and fled the scene immediately,” Ayanlade stated.

He said the victim was promptly rushed to Ileri Oluwa Hospital in Sepeteri for medical attention, where he was confirmed dead by the medical doctor on duty.
