Manchester United have removed a large poster of the club’s forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, from the front of their stadium, Old Trafford.
Cranes were seen at United’s grounds on Wednesday being used to remove Ronaldo’s gigantic painting from Old Trafford.
The removal of the 37-year-old Portuguese star’s huge poster comes amidst his recent interview with Piers Morgan where he said he felt “betrayed” by the club.
“I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me. Not only the coach but another two or three guys around the club. I felt betrayed,” the five-time Ballon d’Or winner had said.

When quizzed again if senior club executives were trying to oust him, Ronaldo replied: “Yes, I felt betrayed and I felt like some people don’t want me here, not only this year but last year too.”
Man United, in a statement issued on Monday, said they were considering their response to Ronaldo’s interview.
“Manchester United notes the media coverage regarding an interview by Cristiano Ronaldo.
“The club will consider its response after the full facts have been established.
“Our focus remains on preparing for the second half of the season and continuing the momentum, belief, and togetherness being built among the players, manager, staff, and fans,” the club had stated.
