Management dismisses death rumours about TikToker Joffy after stabbing

The management of Joseph Prince Films has dismissed reports that popular TikToker and filmmaker Joseph Prince, popularly known as Joffy, has died, confirming that he is receiving medical treatment after he was allegedly stabbed during an attack.

In a statement released on Friday via Joffy’s official TikTok page, the management described the death rumours circulating on social media as false and shared photographs of the content creator receiving treatment in a hospital.

“We wish to state unequivocally that these reports are false. Joseph Prince (Joffy) is alive,” the statement said.

According to the management, the incident occurred while Joffy and members of the Joseph Prince Films production team were returning from a promotional campaign for their upcoming movie, The Last Bell, during which they were documenting their activities.

The statement alleged that the team was confronted by a group of street touts who demanded money, leading to a violent altercation.

It said the attackers allegedly seized production equipment, stole a cast member’s phone and assaulted another member of the crew before the situation escalated.

During the attack, Joffy reportedly sustained a stab wound, while other members of the production team suffered injuries and emotional trauma.

The management said the filmmaker remains under medical care and urged the public to disregard false reports of his death.

It also announced the postponement of the release of The Last Bell, stating that the recovery and well-being of those affected had become its immediate priority.

The management thanked fans for their prayers and support and appealed to the public to avoid spreading unverified information.

It added that any updates on Joffy’s condition would be communicated only through the official platforms of Joseph Prince Films.
