The 81 Division of the Nigerian Army has confirmed an accident involving a suspected drunk driver who crashed into soldiers during their route march in Lagos State.
The Division’s spokesman, Lt.-Col. Olabisi Ayeni, confirmed the incident on Friday, January 30, 2025.
Ayeni said: “The sad incident is confirmed but investigation is ongoing to determine the extent of the damage caused by the accident.

It was gathered that a car driven by a suspected drunk driver, on Friday morning, rammed into the military personnel around the Myoung Barracks Army Sports Camp on training exercise.
Unconfirmed reports said some soldiers sustained injuries while the car had been vandalised by aggrieved persons.
