The naira appreciated to N1,533 against the United States dollar in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM) on Thursday, August 28, 2025.
The naira, however, depreciated to N1,552 against the dollar in the parallel market on Thursday.
The local currency depreciated from N1,546 per dollar recorded on Wednesday, August 27.

Data published by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) showed that the exchange rate for the currency fell to N1,533 per dollar from N1,537.2 per dollar on Wednesday, indicating N4.2 appreciation for the naira.
