APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has summoned governors elected on the platform of the party to an emergency meeting in Abuja.
This was contained in a statement issued on Friday by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
The meeting slated for 2 p.m. on Sunday is coming barely a week to the 2023 general election.
Although the agenda for the meeting was not disclosed, it was gathered that it was not unconnected with the scarcity of the naira notes in the country.

Sources told The Star that the meeting will discuss the confrontation between some governors and President Muhammadu Buhari over the implementation of the naira redesign policy.
The sources added that the meeting would also review plans ahead of the Presidential and National Assembly elections slated for Saturday, February 25, 2023.
“The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), His Excellency, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, invites State Governors of the Party to an emergency meeting to be held on Sunday, February 19, 2023 by 2pm at the National Secretariat, Abuja,” Morka stated.
