Naira trades N1,448/$ in official market

The naira appreciated against the United States dollar in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM) on Tuesday, October 27, 2025.

Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) showed that the naira appreciated by 67 basis points (bps) to close at N1,448/$ compared with the previous position.

The exchange rate settled at N1,448 per dollar after trading within a range of N1,445.00/$ and N1,456.00/$ during the session.

Updated FX data revealed that external reserves remained unchanged amidst the plan to take on additional external borrowing, while Nigeria’s gross external reserves remained at $42.87 billion amidst crude oil price fluctuations in the global commodity market.
