Naira trades N1570/$ at official market

The naira traded at the rate of N1570.99 against the United States dollar at the official market on Monday, August 12, 2024.

Data from the official trading platform of the FMDQ Exchange, a platform that oversees the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM), showed that the naira gained N18.18.

It represents a 0.20 per cent gain when compared to the trading on Friday, August 9, when the local currency closed at N1589.17 to a dollar.

The naira traded at an intra-day high of N1,593 and a low of N1,500 to a dollar on Monday.
