The naira closed at the rate of N1,596.60 against the United States dollar at the official market on Monday, August 26, 2024.
Data from the official trading platform of the FMDQ Exchange, a platform that oversees the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM), showed that the naira gained N1.47.
It represents a 1.69 per cent gain when compared to the trading on Friday, August 23, when the local currency closed at N1,598.07 to a dollar.
