Some of the suspects arrested in the Lagos raids included Rukayyat Eshinlokun, Pelumi Alejo, and Banna Maina who specialises in the distribution of illicit drugs and disguised as a dispatch rider.

Babafemi revealed that a suspect, Amechi Moses, was also arrested in a follow-up operation on Friday following the interception of 29,800 tablets of Tramadol 225mg in a commercial bus along the Owerri-Onitsha Road in Imo State while going to Aba, Abia state.

In his reaction, the NDLEA Chairman, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd), commended the officers of the anti-drug agency for the arrests and seizures.

Marwa also charged them and their compatriots across the country to intensify the heat on drug cartels in Nigeria while balancing their efforts on supply reduction with drug demand reduction activities.
