New NWRMC ED pledges commitment to Tinubu’s reforms, Uba Sani’s agenda

Dr Abdulmumini Mohammed Aminu-Zaria, the newly appointed Executive Director of the Nigerian Integrated Water Resources Management Commission (NWRMC), has pledged his full commitment to delivering on his mandate and supporting both federal and state development efforts.

In a statement released Friday, Dr Aminu-Zaria—a seasoned Human Resources professional with over three decades of top-level experience in the oil and gas sector—credited his appointment to the trust and vision of President Bola Tinubu and the loyalty and inclusive leadership of Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani.

The former top executive at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC), who retired in March, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve, vowing to advance the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu and contribute to Governor Uba Sani’s pro-people policies in Kaduna State.

He praised President Tinubu’s commitment to national transformation and highlighted the progress being made under his reforms, citing the recent Nigeria Development Update report by the World Bank, which points to signs of economic recovery.

Dr Aminu-Zaria also applauded Governor Uba Sani’s strides in promoting peace and development in Kaduna State. He recalled President Tinubu’s commendation of the governor during a state visit in June, where key infrastructure projects—including a skills and vocational centre, a 300-bed specialist hospital, and 100 CNG buses—were commissioned.

“Governor Uba Sani has transformed Kaduna from a state previously plagued by tension into one marked by peace, stability, and inclusive governance,” the statement read.

The new Executive Director reaffirmed his dedication to effective service delivery, and pledged to help consolidate the achievements of both the federal and state administrations.
