Niger Delta will stand firm behind Tinubu in 2027 – Otuaro

The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr Dennis Otuaro, has declared that the Niger Delta will throw its weight behind President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on Friday at the closing ceremony of the ‘Stream 1’ Batch 3, three-day Strategic Leadership, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Mediation Training organised by the PAP in collaboration with the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Abuja, Otuaro said Tinubu had earned the people’s trust through his policies and programmes.

He commended the president’s “genuine intentions” for the Niger Delta, noting that his Renewed Hope Agenda is fostering peace, socio-economic growth, and development in the region.

Otuaro also warned Niger Delta residents against “political manipulators” ahead of the polls, urging them to remain united in support of Tinubu’s second-term bid.

“President Tinubu has proved in the past two years that he has the best agenda for the country and indeed the Niger Delta. Supporting him is the right thing to do. Anywhere the President goes, we go,” he said.

The PAP boss highlighted Tinubu’s “unprecedented encouragement” for the programme, including an increased budget to expand opportunities in formal education, vocational training, and post-training empowerment for ex-agitators and other beneficiaries.

Expressing optimism about further gains if Tinubu is re-elected, Otuaro urged stakeholders to shun divisive politics and remain focused on sustaining the administration’s achievements.

The training programme aimed to enhance leadership and mediation skills among PAP stakeholders.
