The Super Falcons of Nigeria, on Thursday, defeated the Lionesses of Cameroon 1-0 to qualify for the semi-final of the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
Super Falcons midfielder, Rasheedat Ajibade, secured the victory for the team ahead in the second half.

The victory also saw the team qualifying for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
All four teams that make the semi finals at the ongoing WAFCON would pick automatic tickets for the Women’s World Cup to be hosted by Australia and New Zealand in 2023.
