The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecast a mix of sunshine and cloudy weather across the country from Friday through Sunday.
In its weather outlook released Thursday in Abuja, NiMet said the northern region will experience mostly sunny conditions throughout the forecast period on Friday.
It added that parts of the central region will also see sunny skies with patches of clouds, while the southern region is expected to start the day with cloudy conditions.
Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms with light rain are likely in parts of Ondo, Ogun, Lagos, Rivers, Delta, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Edo and Bayelsa states.
For Saturday, NiMet said sunny conditions are expected to persist over the North, with sunny intervals and cloudy patches likely across central areas.
The South is expected to be cloudy in the morning, with chances of isolated thunderstorms and light rainfall in some states later in the day.
On Sunday, the agency projected continued sunny weather across the northern and north-central regions, while the southern areas will experience cloudy skies in the morning with patches of sunshine.
NiMet advised motorists to exercise caution when driving under rainy conditions and urged airline operators to obtain airport-specific weather updates to support safe operations.
The agency also encouraged residents to stay updated with regular weather information.
