The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has reduced the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, fondly called petrol, at its filling stations to N1,130 per litre in Lagos and N1,165 per litre in Abuja.
The new price represents a N100 reduction in Lagos, down from N1,230 per litre, and a N95 decrease in Abuja, where petrol previously sold for N1,260 per litre.
Checks on Thursday, March 12, 2026, showed that NNPC stations in Lagos were dispensing petrol at the new rate of N1,130 per litre.

Similarly, NNPC retail outlets in Abuja adjusted their pump price to N1,165 per litre.
The price adjustment comes shortly after Dangote Refinery reduced its ex-gantry petrol price to N1,075 per litre, following a drop in global oil prices to about $87 per barrel.
Earlier in the week, crude oil prices had surged past $100 per barrel, marking their highest level since July 2022.
