The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested 20 suspects for alleged involvement in kidnapping, armed robbery, murder, vandalism, and fraud across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nasarawa, Benue, Plateau, and Ondo States.

According to a statement by the Corps’ spokesperson, CSC Babawale Afolabi, the arrests were made between October and November 2025, following a directive from the Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, to intensify operations against organised criminal networks nationwide.

Among the suspects are two confirmed terrorist militia members linked to recent communal attacks, five major buyers of stolen accessories, and two suspected vandals of critical infrastructure.

Recovered items include two AK-47 rifles, two G3 rifles, 65 rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition, a Toyota Corolla, four motorcycles, mobile phones, electronics, charms, and cash.

Afolabi said all suspects would be charged to court upon completion of investigations and urged Nigerians to provide timely and credible intelligence to support security operations across the country.
