Non-indigenes hail Gov Uba Sani’s inclusive leadership in Kaduna

The Non-Indigenes Association of Kaduna State has commended Governor Uba Sani for his inclusive governance style, commitment to peace and security, and people-centered policies that benefit both indigenes and residents across the state.

In a statement issued on Thursday and jointly signed by Chief Lazarus Ndu Ama (Convener), Chief Niyi Folabi (Co-Convener), Chief Johnny Nwankwere, and Mary Okon Nkwo (Secretary and PRO), the association praised the governor’s focus on unity, development, and protection of lives and property.

“Since assuming office, Governor Uba Sani has demonstrated that Kaduna State belongs to everyone who lives and contributes to its growth, regardless of religion, ethnicity, or state of origin,” the statement read.

The group lauded the governor’s deliberate policies that have created an inclusive environment where non-indigenes — both Christians and Muslims — feel valued and integrated into the state’s social and economic life.

They also applauded his proactive approach to security and community peacebuilding, as well as enhanced collaboration between security agencies and local communities, which they said has improved safety and stability across the state.

The association further highlighted the governor’s investments in education, healthcare, infrastructure, empowerment, and job creation, noting that these initiatives are positively impacting residents in both urban and rural areas.

According to the group, Kaduna has witnessed a “remarkable transformation” from its past image of division to a state now known for peace, unity, and interfaith harmony.

“Christians and Muslims now live, work, and interact freely without fear or suspicion. Interfaith collaborations and community engagements have strengthened trust and understanding among the people,” the statement added.

The Non-Indigenes Association reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining peaceful coexistence and supporting the government’s development agenda, while urging religious, traditional, and community leaders to continue partnering with the Sani-led administration to maintain the state’s growing harmony and progress.
