Obaseki offers LASU best graduating student automatic employment

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has offered automatic employment to the best graduating student for the 2021/2022 set in Lagos State University (LASU), Aminat Yusuf.

Obaseki announced this in a terse statement shared on his Twitter account on Monday, June 26.

Yusuf, who hails from Edo State, graduated with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 5.00 from the Department of Law.

The governor, who hailed Yusuf for the feat, said: “I am honoured to offer our record-setting Miss Yusuf Aminat automatic employment in the state’s public service. To complement our efforts to create the best work environment, we intend to attract and retain the best talent.

“Miss Aminat, we remain proud of you. The world is your oyster!”

This comes barely a few days after Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, gave N10 million to Yusuf.

Sanwo-Olu, while speaking at LASU’s 26th convocation ceremony held last Thursday in Lagos, announced a N5 million personal donation for the student and another N5 million from the Lagos State Government.

“As a token for her brilliance, I will be giving her a token of N5 million and the state government will give her an additional donation of N5 million,” the governor declared.
