Super Eagles first-choice goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye has been ruled out of the World Cup play-offs with Ghana due to illness.
The latest development was announced via a tweet shared on the verified Twitter handle of the Super Eagles on Tuesday.
The Nigeria national football team stated that the Sparta Rotterdam shot-stopper has been replaced by Enyimba FC goalkeeper, John Noble.
The tweet read: “Update! Maduka Okoye out of the clash against Ghana due to illness, he has been replaced by Enyimba FC goalkeeper, John Noble. Get well soon Maduks! #SoarSuperEagles.”
Meanwhile, no fewer than 20 Super Eagles players are already in camp ahead of the clash with the Black Stars of Ghana.
The players are camping at the Wells Carlton Hotel, Asokoro, Abuja.
The Super Eagles will play Ghana on Friday, March 25 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, while the second leg will hold at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on Tuesday, March 29.
