The operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have foiled an attempt to induce voters in the ongoing governorship election in Ondo State.
The DSS officers thwarted the attempt with the arrest of a suspected vote-buyer in Akure, the Ondo State capital, on Saturday, November 16, 2024.
Voting begins in Ondo governorship election
The suspect was apprehended at about 9 a.m. at Ward 4, Polling Unit 007 outside St. Stephen’s Primary School in Akure.
The suspected vote-buyer was nabbed with two bags of money which are suspected to be for the inducement of voters in the gubernatorial election.
