Ooni marries another wife, Ashley Adegoke

Barely a few weeks after getting married to Mariam Anako from Kogi State, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has taken a new wife, Ashley Adegoke.

The wedding ceremony was held on Friday at the bride’s family house in IIe-Ife, Osun State.

Adegoke, who hails from Lafogido royal house, is a chartered accountant and currently runs an NGO for less privileged kids and widows through the Ashley Adegoke Foundation.

She has a master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Greenwich, and currently runs her businesses in the United Kingdom.

The arrival of Adegoke is coming 11 months after the exit of Naomi Silekunola, the former wife of the revered monarch, who left Ooni on December 23, 2021.

The three-year marriage between the traditional ruler and Naomi produced a son, Tadenikawo.

Ooni had earlier married Adebukola Bombata in 2008 but the marriage failed.

He later married Edo-born Zainab-Otiti Obanor in 2016 but the union lasted for 17 months before their separation.
