Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has denied promising to provide hotel accommodation and feed 7000 delegates from Niger State during the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election in Abuja.
The Special Adviser to the Vice President, Babafemi Ojudu, was reported to have made the vow in Minna, the Niger State capital on Wednesday while wooing the APC delegates to vote for Osinbajo during the party’s primaries.
Osinbajo had visited Niger State on Wednesday as part of his consultations ahead of the APC presidential primary election.
However, the Vice President, in a statement issued and made available to The Star on Thursday by his campaign media team, denied promising to provide accommodation and feed the APC delegates during the party’s presidential primary election in Abuja.

The Vice President campaign media team stated: “For the records, Senator Ojudu at no time made such a claim and the Osinbajo campaign team has no such plans. Such reported offers of free accommodation and free food should be ignored.
“The Vice President continues to spend time interacting directly with the APC delegates and stakeholders across the states answering their questions on issues of politics and governance.
“It is the plan and intention of the Osinbajo Campaign Team to keep engaging the APC delegates on the major issues of the day, exchanging ideas on how to move the country forward and forging a partnership of stakeholders whose collaboration would go beyond the 2023 elections,” it said.
