A faction of the Accord Party has elected Clement Bamigbola as its candidate for the 2026 governorship election in Osun State.
Bamigbola was elected by a voice vote of 300 delegates during the party’s primary held in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, on Sunday, December 14, 2025.
The Chairman of the Primary Electoral Committee, Olufemi Ogundare, declared Bamigbola the party’s candidate.
Ogundare and other party leaders subsequently presented the party’s flag to Bamigbola.

Governor Ademola Adeleke was elected as the Accord Party candidate on December 10.
Adeleke, who was the sole aspirant of the Accord Party, polled 145 votes out of 150 cast during the party’s primary election monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Osogbo.
The Accord Party National Chairman, Maxwell Ngbudem, presented the party’s certificate of return to Adeleke as the flag bearer.
