The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded over 50 percent of results from Saturday’s Osun State governorship election to its Result Viewing (IReV) portal as collation progresses across the state.
Checks on the IReV portal at 6:05 p.m. showed that 1963 polling unit results had been uploaded out of the expected 3,763, representing 52.17 per cent of the total results.
Data on the portal revealed that the latest upload as of 6:00:54p.m. came from Polling Unit 29/17/04/002.
Collation of results is ongoing across the state’s 30 local government areas.

The governorship election is being contested by the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and other candidates.
Voters, political parties, and election observers have continued to monitor the IReV portal, which INEC introduced to improve transparency in the electoral process by enabling the public to view polling unit results in real time as they are uploaded.
