PDP crisis: Turaki-led NWC meets Jonathan behind closed doors

The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, led by acting Chairman Tanimu Turaki (SAN), has held a closed-door meeting with former President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja.

Turaki, accompanied by members of the NWC and a select group of state party chairmen, arrived at Jonathan’s Maitama office at about 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Party insiders say the discussion focused on the internal crisis rocking the PDP, ongoing efforts to reposition the party ahead of future elections, and broader national issues.

The outcome of the meeting was yet to be disclosed as of the time of filing this report.
