The aggrieved five governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), known as G5 or Integrity Group, on Thursday, stormed Ibadan, the Oyo State capital to flag off the re-election campaign of one of their members and governor of the state, Seyi Makinde.
Other members of the group are Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu).
The aggrieved governors have since been calling for the resignation of the PDP National Chairman, Sen. Iyorchia Ayu.
They have insisted that it is unfair for the main opposition party to have the national chairman and presidential candidate from the northern region of the country, saying Ayu should resign his position for justice, equity, and fairness in the PDP.

The governors stressed that the PDP chairman, who is from the North-Central region of the country, should resign as a concession to the South.
