The remains of the former Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings, Dr Herbert Wigwe, his wife Doreen Chizoba, and first son Chizzy have been laid to rest in Isiokpo, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The remains of the deceased were buried in a private tomb at the Wigwe University which Wigwe built in the Isiokpo area of Rivers State on Saturday, March 9, 2024.
The bodies were moved from the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Isiokpo after a funeral service to the private mausoleum and buried on Saturday.
At the graveside, tears flowed freely as the bodies were lowered into the grave.
Wigwe died alongside his wife and son in a helicopter crash in California near the Nevada border, United States, on February 9, 2024.
He died at the age of 57.

Also involved in the crash was the former Chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc, Abimbola Ogunbanjo.
Dignitaries present at the funeral service include Senate President Godswill Akpabio; Governors Siminalayi Fubara (River), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Dapo Abidoun, Duoye Diri (Bayelsa), and Alex Otti (Abia).
Others were former Governors Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), Peter Obi (Anambra), and Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers).
The funeral service was also attended by former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, the President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote; and the former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido.
