PHOTOS: Lagos govt seals nightclub, coys, church over noise pollution

The Lagos State Government has again sealed several establishments, including nightclub, companies, mosque, and church over noise pollution and other offences in the state.

The establishments were sealed by the officials of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA).

Announcing the closure via its X account in the early hours of Friday, December 8, 2023, LASEPA disclosed that the sealed facilities are in Bariga, Yaba, Ago Palace Way, Ijaiye Ojokoro, Amuwo Odofin, and Shomolu areas of Lagos.

The agency stated: “Today, the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), in line with its mandate to safeguard the environment from noise pollution and other violations, took decisive action by sealing several establishments.

“These include bars, nightclub, industries, mosque, and church, namely LoveLagos, Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Movement, Keltims Global Limited, Samking Chemicals Nig Limited, Moulin Rouge Roof Top Bar, Fence Metal Industry Limited, Ire-Akari Mosque, and Gift Bar.

“The establishments are situated in various parts of Bariga, Yaba, Ago Palace Way, Ijaiye Ojokoro, Amuwo Odofin, and Shomolu in Lagos State.

“These measures were put in place to address the identified instances of noise pollution and other environmental violations.”
