Residents of Offa, in the Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State, were thrown into fear after explosions damaged several buildings in the early hours of Friday.
Unexploded aerial devices were reportedly found in the Yidi area of the town following the blasts, heightening concerns among community members.

Some residents expressed worry that the incident might be linked to foreign military activity, especially after reports of U.S. drone strikes on suspected ISIS locations in north-west Nigeria in cooperation with local forces.

As of the time of this report, neither the Kwara State government nor the State Police Command had issued an official statement on the incident.
Videos and photos shared online showed damaged structures and objects believed to be unexploded devices on the ground.

Security and military personnel have since been deployed to the scene to secure the area and maintain order.
