Police arrest 3 with human parts in Lagos

The operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command in Lagos State have arrested three suspects for allegedly being in possession of human parts in the state.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

Hundeyin said the suspects were apprehended for allegedly being in possession of human tongues.

Hundeyin said two of the suspects were arrested with human parts in a taxi during a routine stop-and-search on Otedola Bridge in Lagos on October 15.

“Further investigations led the operatives to the apprehension of the third suspect from whom the parts were bought in Oyingbo Market, Lagos State,” the police spokesperson stated.

He said an investigation into the incident was ongoing, adding that the suspects would be arraigned if found culpable.
