The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested a woman, Zaliha Shuaibu, for allegedly killing her co-wife’s three-month-old baby by feeding him acid in Malari village, Soba Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to a statement issued by the state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, the tragic incident occurred on May 13, 2025, within the family compound shared by Zaliha, her husband, and the baby’s mother, Maryam Ibrahim.

She quickly noticed signs of distress in the child, including foam coming from his mouth and an injury to his neck.
