It was learnt that the corpse of the woman was discovered on Sunday morning, following odour from the drainage where she was dumped.

Eyewitnesses said the decomposing body showed signs that she was strangled before she was dumped into the gutter.

The residents of Akali street identified the deceased as Ese, who hailed from Egbo community in Delta State.

She traded in cow skin, popularly known as Kpomo, at the Opolo market in Yenagoa.

The residents further disclosed that the deceased separated from her husband in April 2023.
