Police rescue 4-year-old kidnap victim, arrest 4 in Katsina

The Katsina State Police Command has rescued a 4-year-old girl and arrested four members of a kidnapping syndicate during a coordinated operation in the Katsina metropolis.

The rescue was revealed by counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama via his X handle.

According to Makama, the operation followed a report by Alhaji Badamasi Bala, who stated that his two daughters, aged 14 and 4, were abducted from their home in Madaci Yan Nono quarters on February 20, 2025.

The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of ₦50 million.

Acting on the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Shehu, the police anti-kidnapping unit launched an investigation that led to the arrest of one suspect.
