The Presidential Committee on Police Reforms, in collaboration with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Cleen Foundation, have organised a three-day training for the Nigeria Police Public Relations Officers (PPROs) in Kano.

The training tagged, ‘Strategic Communication Training Programme for Police Spokespersons’, drew PPROs from the states of the federation.

According to the committee, the training was part of efforts to enhance the skills and knowledge of reputation management for the police image makers in their responsibilities as the public face of the Nigeria Police.

The PPROs used the opportunity to tour Gidan Makama Museum, a part of Kano’s rich cultural heritage before the formal commencement of the training.

The workshop is also expected to improve on the working relationship between the police spokespersons and the media.
