The Police Service Commission (PSC) has appointed national, zonal, and state coordinators for the 2023 general election.
The PSC had earlier approved the participation of over 360 officials to monitor the conduct of police officers on election duties across the country.
The Commission, however, warned that it would sanction any police officer involved in any form of misconduct before, during, or after the 2023 general election.
It made this known via a statement issued on Sunday by its spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani.
Ani noted that the PSC Acting Chairman, Justice Clara Bata Ogunbiyi (Rtd), will lead the delegation as the National Coordinator and be assisted by the commissioners representing the six geo-political zones as Zonal Coordinators.
The PSC spokesperson stated that the Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Commission, Dr. Ifeoma Adaora Anyanwutaku, will serve as the Deputy National Coordinator.
