Portable buys new multimillion-naira SUV after release from police custody

Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, well known as Portable, has acquired a new Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV).

Portable announced this via a video shared on his Instagram account on Monday, January 26, 2026.

“Zazuu my God is bigger than anybody me I go become come somebody ZEHNATION many many inspiration,” he captioned the video.

The latest development comes barely a few days after the controversial singer was released from police custody, following his arraignment before the Federal High Court in Ota, Ogun State, over multiple criminal allegations, including assault and vehicle theft.

Portable arraigned, remanded for beating police officer, stealing car

The musician faced a nine-count charge brought by the Ogun State Police Command, covering offences such as assault, causing bodily harm, theft, and resisting lawful arrest.

The singer’s court appearance followed the circulation of a viral video showing him in police custody, which was reportedly linked to a complaint by his estranged partner, Ashabi Simple.

Prosecutors alleged that the incident occurred on New Year’s Day at Portable’s bar in the Iyana Ilogbo area of Ogun State, where he was said to have attacked Ashabi, several police officers, and other individuals.
