PremiumTrust Bank MD: Why Uba Sani is attracting investments to Kaduna

The Managing Director of PremiumTrust Bank, Emmanuel Emefienim, has commended Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for attracting investments to the state.

Emefienim, who commended Sani for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to peace, unity, and progress, stated that these attributes have renewed the people’s hope across Kaduna State.

The MD said this at the opening of the Kaduna branch of PremiumTrust Bank on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

He stated: “Through improved security, urban renewal, economic diversification, infrastructural development, and youth empowerment, Governor Sani has created an environment where businesses thrive and investments flourish, positioning Kaduna as a preferred destination for partnerships like ours.

“Kaduna’s political influence, entrepreneurial spirit, and urban renewal drive make it a natural home for a forward-looking institution like PremiumTrust Bank.

“To the good people of Kaduna, PremiumTrust Bank has arrived to walk with you, invest in you, and grow with you. Together, we will write a new story of economic transformation and shared success.”

Kaduna information commissioner resigns

Speaking at the event, Sani noted that the commissioning of the bank’s branch in Kaduna State “is a resounding vote of confidence in our state’s growing economic strength and in the reforms we have pursued with resolve since 2023.”

The governor further described the commissioning as “an affirmation of our government’s tireless efforts to build an investment-friendly, growth-oriented business environment.”

He added: “From the onset of our administration, we recognised financial inclusion as the bedrock of sustainable development. That is why the very first Executive Order I signed in office was focused on expanding financial access to the underserved and unbanked.

“Since then, we have enrolled over 2.5 million residents – especially women, youth, and the underserved into the formal financial ecosystem. We have scaled support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), empowered agri-preneurs across our 23 local governments, and launched targeted social interventions.

“The arrival of PremiumTrust Bank adds fresh momentum to these efforts, with new products, digital solutions, and literacy initiatives that will bring banking to every doorstep.”
