The All Progressives Congress (APC) has set up 18 sub-committees for the party’s special convention for the presidential primaries slated for June 6 to 8, 2022.

Seventeen governors and eight ministers are either chairing or co-chairing

This was made known via a statement issued and made available to The Star on Wednesday night by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Barr. Felix Morka.

Gombe State Governor, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya and Minister of Finance, Hajiya Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed, were appointed to chair the budget sub-committee, while the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu was appointed to handle finance and logistics.

Accreditation and decoration will be handled by Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, while the Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu was appointed to handle security and compliance.

He will be assisted by a former Minister of Interior, Gen. Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (retd).

Kebbi State Governor, Abubakar Badaru, was appointed to handle election planning, and will be assisted by his Imo State counterpart, Hope Uzodinma.

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, takes charge of transportation. He will be assisted by the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Dr. Ramatu Tijani Aliyu,

Accommodation will be handled by Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, and Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola.

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, takes charge of media publicity, while Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, former Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Folorunso Adewole, will handle medicals.

Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami SAN, handles legal, while Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, and Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Mohammed Musa Bello, were appointed to handle venue and site servicing.

Others appointed are:

Election Appeal – Mai Mala Buni, Governor of Yobe State

Hospitality and Welfare – Simon Lalong, Governor of Plateau State

Co-Chair: Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development

Protocols – Aminu Bello Masari, Governor of Katsina State

Digital Communications – AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Governor of Kwara State

Pre-Convention/Management/ Rapporteur – Mallam Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai, Governor of Kaduna State

Deputy: Dame Pauline Tallen, Minister of Women Affairs

Presidential Screening Appeal – Abubakar Sani Bello, Governor of Niger State

Co-Chair: Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives

Accreditation of Diplomats – Ovie Omo-Agege, Deputy President of the Senate

Co-Chair: Geoffrey  Onyeama, Minister for Foreign Affairs
