Primaries: Tinubu sweeps all votes in Borno

In Borno State, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recorded a landslide victory in the APC presidential primary, securing all 414,988 votes cast across the state’s 27 local government areas.

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, who served as the state collation officer, announced the results at the APC State Secretariat in Maiduguri.

According to him, out of 430,715 registered voters, over 416,000 were accredited, with 414,988 valid votes recorded—all in favour of Tinubu. His only challenger failed to secure any vote.

Zulum described the exercise as peaceful and successful, affirming Tinubu as the duly elected winner of the APC presidential primary in the state.

The outcome further highlights the President’s strong backing in Borno and reinforces his dominance in the party’s primary elections ahead of 2027.
