President Bola Ahmed Tinubu secured a sweeping victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary in Kano State, polling 500,852 votes across the 44 local government areas.
His only challenger, Osifo Osayamen Stanley, recorded 2,675 votes in the exercise, which was concluded at the Kano State Government House during the official collation.
Deputy Senate President Barau I. Jibrin, who voted in his ward in Kabo Local Government Area, described the process as peaceful, transparent, and reflective of Tinubu’s popularity in the state.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, who served as the collation officer, supervised the process, while officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies monitored proceedings.
Barau said the outcome signals a strong showing for the APC ahead of the 2027 general election, expressing confidence that the party would secure victory at all levels.
