Private jet crash-lands at Ibadan airport

A private jet with registration number N580KR on Friday, January 26 crash-landed at the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport, Ibadan.

There was no casualty in the incident.

Ten 10 persons including Very Important Personalities (VIPs) were onboard when the incident happened at about 11a.m.

The jet reportedly missed the runway and crash-landed into the nearby bush.

The source told The Star that firefighters and first responders from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) were deployed to the scene.

“It was a private plane from Abuja. It landed safely but overshot the runway. There was no casualty,” an aviation official said.

A similar incident happened at the same airport last two months.
