Nigerian rapper Ms Jorji has accused dancer and entertainer Poco Lee of attempting to sexually assault her and a friend during an alleged encounter in Dallas, Texas, in 2024.
The rapper made the allegation following recent reports concerning Poco Lee, saying her experience influenced her decision to speak publicly about the incident.
According to Ms Jorji, she and her friend visited Poco Lee’s apartment after he invited them over. She said she was seeking advice from the entertainer about pursuing a career in music.
She alleged that Poco Lee subsequently made unwanted physical advances towards her before turning his attention to her friend and allegedly attempting to pull her into another room.
Ms Jorji claimed that she and her friend resisted the advances and eventually managed to leave the apartment before driving several hours home.
The rapper explained that she did not report the alleged incident at the time because she lacked the confidence to speak out and feared she would not be believed because of Poco Lee’s status and influence in the entertainment industry.
She said she decided to recount the alleged experience after seeing recent reports concerning the entertainer, adding that her personal experience had shaped her belief in the allegations against him.
Ms Jorji also claimed that she had encountered other individuals in the music industry who allegedly made inappropriate sexual propositions to her in exchange for career opportunities.
The allegations have not been independently established, and Poco Lee’s response to Ms Jorji’s claims was not included in the account.
