Renowned Evangelist, Uma Ukpai, dies at 80 …family announces death one week after

Renowned Nigerian preacher and founder of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association (UUEA), Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, has died.
He died at the age of 80.
The announcement, on Monday, October 13, 2025, came one week after his passage.
According to a statement signed by his family, Ukpai passed away on October 6, 2025.
Until his death, he lived a life dedicated to spreading the Christian faith and mentoring believers both in Nigeria and abroad.
Rev. Ukpai was known for his non-denominational ministry and served as a leading figure in evangelism, reaching countless people through his teachings and outreach programs.
His work through the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, headquartered in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, touched lives across generations and continents.
His family described him as a devoted husband, loving father, spiritual mentor, and a preacher whose life reflected his commitment to God’s work.
The family stated that plans for funeral services will be shared by the family at a later date.
Rev. Ukpai’s ministry spanned more than six decades, during which he trained numerous spiritual leaders, conducted evangelistic campaigns, and worked to transform communities through his message of faith.
He is survived by his children, wife, and many spiritual disciples who continue to uphold the principles he lived by.
