The National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, is currently meeting with security chiefs and heads of security and intelligence agencies at the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) in Abuja.
The meeting comes after United States President Donald Trump threatened military action in Nigeria over alleged genocide against Christians.
It was gathered that the emergency meeting, which commenced on Monday afternoon, is aimed at assessing the implications of Trump’s statement accusing the federal government of failing to protect Christians from Islamist militant groups.
