Road crash: Tinubu sends soul-lifting message to Joshua

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep sympathy to AJ following the fatal accident that occurred on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, which claimed two lives and left the sportsman injured.

In a condolence message, the President described the incident as a tragic occurrence that cast “a deep shadow” over the season.

He noted that the loss of lives and AJ’s injuries were difficult burdens for the families involved to bear.

Tinubu praised AJ for his long-standing courage, discipline and commitment to the country, qualities he said have made him a source of national pride.

“In moments like this, we must encourage one another as brothers and sisters with a shared destiny,” the President said.

He prayed for comfort for the families of the deceased and wished AJ a quick recovery, while asking God to grant repose to the souls of those who died in the crash.
