SAHCO emerges best cargo handling company in Nigeria at 21st Akwaaba travel market

Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) PLC has been recognized as the Best Cargo Handling Company in Nigeria for 2024/2025 at the 21st Akwaaba African Travel Market Conference and Exhibition, held in Lagos.

The leading ground handling firm also recorded double honours, as its Chairman, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, was named among the Top 50 Air Cargo Personalities in Nigeria, while its Managing Director/CEO, Mrs. Adenike Aboderin, was also celebrated as one of the country’s top air cargo leaders.

The awards were received on behalf of the company’s leadership by Mrs. Anne Nwadike, SAHCO’s Cargo Marketing Manager, who represented the Executive Director of Cargo Services, Mrs. Boma Ukwunna.

Speaking during the event, organizer Mr. Ikechi Uko praised SAHCO for consistently raising the bar in aircraft and cargo ground handling services.

He described the company as Nigeria’s number one ground handling provider and one of the best on the continent, despite the economic challenges facing the industry.

With operations across all commercially active airports in Nigeria, SAHCO is the only ground handling company with such nationwide coverage.

The firm is also known for deploying state-of-the-art Ground Support Equipment (GSE), fitted with advanced technology to deliver reliable and efficient services.

Beyond infrastructure, the company has also invested heavily in workforce development, ensuring its personnel receive continuous training to maintain global aviation handling standards.

The recognition, according to industry observers, reaffirms SAHCO’s commitment to innovation, professionalism, and customer satisfaction in the Nigerian and African aviation industry.
