SAHCO receives excellence award at FAAN 2025 safety week

Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) PLC has received the Safety Excellence Award from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) during the 2025 Safety Week held at the Lagos Marriott Hotel, Ikeja.

The award recognises SAHCO’s outstanding commitment to safety, professionalism, and adherence to global aviation standards.

Receiving the award, Mrs. Vanessa Uansohia, SAHCO’s Head of Corporate Communications, said the honour reflects the company’s safety-first culture and continuous investment in staff training, technology, and operational standards.

“Safety is not just a policy at SAHCO—it is a culture embedded in every aspect of our operations,” she said.

SAHCO, a leading ground handling firm, has consistently implemented the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) standards and maintained a strong safety record through regular audits, retraining, and emergency simulations.

FAAN described the company as a safety-driven and forward-thinking organization setting benchmarks in Nigeria’s aviation sector.

The award reaffirms SAHCO’s commitment to providing world-class, safe, and efficient ground handling services while upholding its core values of professionalism, integrity, and excellence.
