Senior naval officer stabbed to death in Kaduna

A senior officer of the Nigerian Navy, Lieutenant Commodore M. Buba, has been stabbed to death in Kaduna State.

It was gathered that Buba died after he was stabbed by a suspected robber during a violent confrontation at Kawo Bridge in Kaduna.

The incident occurred while the officer, who was undergoing training at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji, was returning to the institution and had stopped to fix a flat tyre.

Eyewitnesses disclosed that the assailant approached Buba and demanded his mobile phone and other valuables.

The officer was said to have refused, leading to the suspect stabbing him in the chest with a locally made knife.
