Sydney Talker opens up on four-year celibacy journey

Popular Nigerian skit maker and content creator, Sydney Talker, has revealed that he has remained celibate for the past four years, saying the decision was part of a deliberate effort to focus on studying the content creation industry.

Speaking in a video shared on his Instagram page on Wednesday, the 30-year-old entertainer said he has not “slept on the same bed with a woman” since July 27, 2022.

According to him, the journey has not been easy but has been sustained by God’s grace.

“On the 27th of this month, it will make it four years of celibacy for me. Technically, what I’m trying to say is that I have not slept on the same bed with a woman for the last four years. It has not been easy, but I thank God. It is not by my power but by His grace,” he said.

Sydney Talker explained that stepping away from emotional distractions gave him the time to conduct extensive research into the content creation industry.

He said his findings convinced him that creators need to adopt new strategies if they hope to achieve lasting financial success.

“In this past four years, I have studied my industry, content creation, and I have come to the conclusion that if we do not put some things in place now, we would never get wealthy,” he said.

The comedian also announced a live event tagged “Creators Keynote”, scheduled for July 27, where he said he would unveil the insights and solutions he has developed for content creators.

The event will be streamed live on his YouTube and Twitch channels from 1:00 p.m., with the entertainer inviting fellow creators and members of the public to participate.
